Reversable Acetate early 1950's Souvenir Jacket lovingly recreated by Tailor Toyo.
Please enjoy their description of this beautiful piece...
A work of the early 1950s depicting cherry blossoms and eagles in full bloom in light colors. Gradation is expressed using multiple colored threads, and delicate depictions are reproduced by embroidery.
The reversible side is embroidered on a black body based on white. Although it is a single color, the three-dimensional effect of the embroidery expresses the dragon's mane and tiger's coat, which shows that it is a gem that a skilled craftsman at that time worked on.
ACETATE SOUVENIR JACKET
most standard reversible type of souvenir jacket that uses acetate fabric on both sides. At the time of the postwar period, Sukajan used acetate, which is an uncontrolled item with a high-class feel similar to silk. Since there is no batting, it can be worn regardless of the season, and the unique drape feeling is also attractive.
